In a week we made a thousand-mile loop, often through lush countryside. Our guide's spirits soared whenever we could leave the expressway and take local roads "where we could see the real Morocco." Speaking English, Spanish and Arabic, with gentle pride he taught us a great deal about his country and about the Muslim faith. In his care and among his countrymen, we felt welcome and secure. Our group of 35 included travelers from eleven nationalities!
