The first section below is from page 69 of Slekten Reinertsens Stamtavle, a small-format genealogy booklet published in Norway in 1931. The translation was done in 2013 by Robert Eliason:

Mrs. Mabel Monson was born the 25th of December 1907 in Norris [sic, Morris], Illinois to parents farmer Johannes Mæland and wife Bessie Torkelson.
She graduated from high school in New Effington in 1923 and entered teacher’s college in Aberdeen S. Dakota, where she graduated in 1925.
She taught in the school in Aberdeen from 1925 until 1928, when she took a lifelong companionship with Arthur Oliver Monson.
She entered into marriage with Monsen [sic Monson] the 7th of January 1928 in New Effington, S.D. He is the son of worker Elias Monson, born 7 April1868 and wife Mrs. Monsen [sic Monson], born 17 September 1876.
Arthur Monson is a manager of a bulk oil station in New Effington, where they reside. No children.

They adopted a son Gary Lee born March 1, 1934

Mabel was baptized November 17, 1907, at Stavanger Church in Seneca, IL. The sponsors were Mrs. Art Wildey, Henry Torkelson, Martin Nervik, Bert Olson and Nellie Walker.

She was confirmed Oct.10, 1920 at Branvold Church, near Victor, SD.
