Records in Sweden are confusing. Some say that Lars lived from 1873 to 1888 in Kristianstad, Sweden, and from 1883 to 1895 in Bosjökloster, Malmöhus (later Skåne), Sweden. But other records show that Hilda was born in 1880 in Mellby (200 miles north of Kristianstad) and Anna in 1882 in Borrie (40 miles south of Kristianstad).
Kristianstad is only 30 miles from the village of Norra Rorum where Sven Windh was born. Bosjökloster is even closer, about 12 miles.
US census records from 1900 through 1940 show Lars living in Lien and Minnesota Townships, Roberts County, South Dakota.
Therefore it is likely that all his children were born in Sweden. Perhaps they all came with him to the US, as even the oldest is buried in New Effington, South Dakota.
