A memorial booklet published after a big Klusmann Family Reunion in New Salem in June 2005 says this about Nellie:
Earl and Nellie (Klusman) Otte
Nellie married Earl Otte, who served in WWI and was sick when he returned home. He died at age 39 in 1937. Nellie, daughter of Charles and Anna (Gaebe) Klusmann, became a widow at a very young age and she died in 1986. They had two sons (Roy-deceased and Earl-deceased).
