She still lives in the house that she and John lived in for at least 40+ years. The grandkids are in and out constantly along with her kids. She always has food for everyone and loves being home and with family.

Barbara Louise Windh born April 10, 1929 to Wilford and Hedvig Becklund who both immigrated from Sweden at the turn of the century.
She passed away on October 29, 2021 at the age of 92 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was proceeded in death by her husband John Carlyle Windh.
She loved her family and leaves behind her daughter Debra Baines (Ronald), son John Windh (Carole) and daughter Cynthia Anthony. She had 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
She enjoyed caring for her family and prepared many meals and celebrations bringing the family together. Her meals and Swedish pancakes were enjoyed by all that entered the home. Christmas was always overflowing with love and gifts for her family and for someone who would show up unexpectedly would get something too.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at Tahoma Cemetery in Covington in the Summer of 2022.

John Carlyle Windh passed away on February 26, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 27, 1923, in Groton, SD. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara, daughters Debra Baines, Cindy Anthony and son John Windh. John had 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He served in WWII in the European theater with the Army’s 261st Field Artillery Battalion. Upon returning from the war he married Barbara Becklund and began a family. He retired from Fort Lewis heat shop in 1983 but continued with his own small heating business until 2002. He belonged to the VFW and the American Legion. He loved his family and friends, enjoyed a good golf game and told colorful jokes to anyone who would listen. He will be missed by his family and friends too numerous to mention. Memorial services will be held March 9, 2008, at 2:00pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Central Church, 1301 South Baltimore, in Tacoma.
Federal Census and Social Security records indicate John Windh was born August 22, 1927, but his obiturary and gravestone indicate August 27, 1923.
