Misc. Notes
Joanne wrote this in Sept. of 1998: I received my BA in psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa, then went on to receive my Law Clerks diploma at Niagara College near Niagara Falls, Canada. After I finished school I worked as a Law Clerk (similar to paralegal in the U.S.) for PepsiCo for three years, and now I work for Molson Breweries. I am enjoying my work, but my commute is quite long, so once we turn our mind to having a family, I can't see myself keeping the same schedule. I am really hoping that Molson will move with the times and allow me to work from a home office. They have already sent a computer home for me, and all the work I do is generated by phone, fax or email, so I could function very well. I am pretty optimistic, but it is a few years away at this point. I'll just have to wait and see. I have also toyed with the idea of going back for my masters in psychology. I always found that interesting. Jay and I live in Brampton, about 20 min. north of Toronto airport, where we just bought a new house. Mom keeps very busy, she takes trips through elderhostel, she has joined a ski club and does all sorts of ski trips in the winter, and also does kayak trips in the summer with another group. I think she eats wheaties every morning....I don't know where she gets her energy from!!

Misc. Notes
Joanne wrote this in Sept. of 1998: Jay went to University of Toronto for his bachelor of science, then went to Niagara University in Buffalo and got his masters in Education. He is currently teaching grade 6,7 and 8 science and plans to take his principal course next year after he finishes some extra computer courses this year. He would love to get into administration but he also has a real passion for computers and would like to teach that as well. With the many changes coming about in our school system here, I think he's doing the right thing because he will have a back up plan with all his computer skills he's working on.
