Misc. Notes
Another source says he was born in 1877. He is also known as Erik A. Eriksen Enge and his wife as Bertha Eriksen Enge after the name of their farm Enge.
As a young man he traveled to America but came home to get married. He then bought the farm Enge near Etne, but traveled instead with his wife back to America, where they lived until 1912. They returned home and took over their own farm.
Eriksen believed in "the quiet in the country" and liked best to be at home.
