Heinrich Johann was known as Henry, John Henry, or as “Hy Jr.” Another source lists his birthdate as Dec. 1, 1855.

From an Addieville newspaper:
While Henry J. Gaebe of Addieville, Illinois, sat on his bed at home smoking his pipe and reading the paper, sparks from the pipe set fire to the bed clothes. He was badly burned about the hands and legs. He died the next day, August 25, 1944, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. An inquest was held at the Gundlach and Company morgue at Belleville by Coroner Dr. C. C. Kane of St. Clair County.
