Various federal census records show that Charles arrived in the US in May of 1899 at age 14 and that thereafter he lived in Los Angeles, San Pedro, San Juan, Santa Ana, San Pedro, Los Angeles again, Anaheim, Bear Valley, Newport Beach and again in Anaheim, all in California.
