NameTrønd Sigurdsson RUSTUNG
Birth1460
Death1514
Occupation“til Semb ca 1500” .. to Semb about 1500
Religionclick name for important NOTES
Misc. Notes
On a 1931 family tree chart, Trønd’s and Karen’s names are listed in three different places but they are clearly the same people. Why llisted in three places? Perhaps because in this crowded chart it would have been almost impossible to position their three children and all of their descendants under just one couple. In this computerized genealogy, I have arbitrarily listed all three oif their children here -- Christopher, Magdelene and N.N. Here and elsewhere, “N.N.” seems to mean “name unknown.”
Under Trønd is says “til Semb ca 1500” .. to Semb about 1500. There is today a place named Semb far away on the fjord south from Oslo.
Under Karen it says “til Nesse” in two places and “til Nesse i Ryfylke” in another. Ryfylke today is a celebrated coastal and fjord tourist region east and north from Stavanger. Ryfylke’s three most famous attractions are the Lysefjord, the Preikestolen and Kjerag mountain. The Preikestolen is a dramatic viewing shelf high above the Lysefjord. The Kjerag area includes a huge boulder wedged in a crevice 600 meters over the fjord.
