The dates on Oscar’s tombstone are b. October 7, 1896, and d. January 29, 1966. Another source shows Oscar was born July 4, 1889, and died April 23, 1973. That seems erroneous.
A memorial booklet published after a big Klusmann Family Reunion in New Salem in June 2005 says this about Oscar:
Oscar Klusmann, son of Charles and Anna (Gaebe) Klusmann, was born on October 7, 1896, and died on January 29, 1956. He married Alma Gaebe who was born in 1894 and died in 1950. Oscar married Dorothy Rasch on August 28, 1951. Dorothy was born in 1908 and died in 1957. Oscar was the owner of the IGA grocery store and later the Super Value grocery store.
