Misc. Notes
The 1931 famiily tree chart from Norway shows a Gutorm Ivarsson and also a Gutorm Ivarson. They are clearly the same person, although for reasons of space and layout, they are placed far from each other on this crowded chart. Each has one child, a daughter shown as “N.N.” Here and elsewhere on this chart, “N.N.” seems to signify “name unknown.”
The two “N. N,” daughters marry different men, however, so they are not the same person. One has many descendants. The other has a daughter “N.N.” but then a gap of many generations until the next descendants.
I have here listed both daughters under one Gutorm and arbitrarily spelled his name Ivarsson.
Misc. Notes
The 1931 famiily tree chart from Norway shows both a Gutorm Ivarson and a Gutorm Ivarsson. They are placed far from each other on the chart but each is “på Norheim” (at Norheim). Ivarson’s death is shown as 1306. Each has one child, an unnamed daughter shown as “N.N.” So far so good, perhaps they are the same person.
However, Ivarson’s daughter “N.N.” marries Sigurd Galte (“to Torsnes 1306”) while this Ivarsson’s daughter “N.N.” marries Peter (no last name) who is “at Sandven 1306.” On the chart, this Ivarsson’s name is in an area of other uncertainties and missing generations. Places named Torsnes and Sandven in modern Norway are not near each other.
The similarities suggest Gutorm Ivarson and Gutorm Ivarsson are the same person. But the dissimilarities force me to list them and their daughters and all their descendants as unrelated.
