After confirmation, Reinert stayed at home about 10 years working with his father on the farm in Etne. In 1898 he went to the county school. In 1908 and 1909 Reinert received a job in business at Figgio [south of Stavanger] and was there until he bought it himself in 1910. Since then, he has run the business and still operates it. In 1920 he also worked as the post office.
