Eunice graduated from New Salem High School and Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, worked briefly in Corning, CA, and completed her Baccalaureate degree at the University of Washington.

On a trip to Germany in 1978, Eunice and George visited the city of Höxter, where her grandfather Hermann Freise had been born, and the East Frisian Islands, where the Freise clan had come from many centuries earlier.

For years she and George managed their home in Eugene, Oregon, as a Bed & Breakfast.

In March of 2017 she was married again to Charles (Chuck) Reinhardt, who passed away in 2021.
